Cut Short

Cut short is a one week challenge to put one of my unreasonable fears on screen.

CHARACTER DESIGN

This entire project felt rather like an experiment on how quickly an one minute animation can be made. The character design is a product of that. The scribbly lines, easy for animation, and design, were experimental as well. Eventually I used a more anime inspired design for the animation since I was more efficient in animating in that style.

Shading was removed due to time budget.

STOP-MOTION

For the title sequence, I tried to experiment with stop motion. The set was built completely from my parents' trash bin and filmed on the kitchen table. A little wonky but effective nonetheless.
